Mission:

The primary objective of the Resource Center & Library Clerk is to collect photographic material and/or equipment and distribute it to the membership on a first come, first serve basis. Although the Resource Center & Library Clerk does not hold a voting position on the Loveland Photographic Society (LPS) Board of Directors, the chairperson should make every effort to attend all board meetings (six scheduled per year: first Tuesday of odd months) to help direct the club in the decision making process.

Basic Duties:

  1. Collect and catalog photography related material and/or equipment for the club.
  2. To make collected material and/or equipment available to members.
  3. To make sure members return material and/or equipment to the club that they have borrowed.

Time Commitment:

There is no set time commitment. The chair should attend monthly meetings or find someone willing to perform the duties of librarian in their absence.

Benefits:

Maintaining a resource center & library of useful materials to club members will be an added benefit to being a member of the club. Personal benefits include getting to greet and meet members and talk to them about their photographic needs.
